Someone, Somewhere

Beneath the surface,

gripped by the ripples

of life gone by.

It is a sad softness, and there are cold

lashes of fear, set into the marrow

of my bones.

Take this tender heart, I whisper.

To someone.

Somewhere.

That’s very kind, Jason. Thank you. ☀️I’ve certainly got my husband and my beautiful kids and family who do a wonderful job in supporting me. So, really, I shouldn’t complain. ☺️

Of course, I will always keep dreaming of a perfect society where everyone was always kind and looked after each others cares. Perhaps I’ll have to wait a little longer for that. 😂☺️
