Those Eyes

There is a softness between us.

I gaze, but I do not see you first.

I feel you, first.

I know you,

first,

down to the bones that hold you.

I would ask for a kiss,

but I see it there

waiting

in your eyes.

Those eyes.

Bring me those eyes, one more time,

forever.

Bring me my medicine,

oh, sweet love!

What cruel, dark night

is this that finds me?

Dissolved

I am a body.

But I am dissolved

by the blinding light

of destiny.

Here I spin,

longing to escape

the heavenly dream

that hurtles through the soft

and quick

of me.

Catch me, hold me still.

Oh, the aching,

catch me.

Hold

me

still.

Darling Day 28. Darling Dreamers

In the arms of the rippling blue night,

the darling dreamers

sing

to the Gypsy song of yesterday.

And with a gaze:

tomorrow?

And with a kiss:

yes.

Darling Day 26. Desire

There is no place

for darling

in desire.

The sweet perfection

of you

must die

to know the wild

ecstasy

of me.

Cross the bridges

of my body

with your wandering

lust

and I will meet you in the air.

I will meet you in the air.

The Flame

Let me be

the flame that burns

into your midnight dreams.

Let these embers spark

your long forgotten

desires.

Let you taste them again

within the deepest

darkest

corners

of your soul.

Do You See Me?

I am here.

Do you see me?

All of me?

You see my body, it fills you to overflowing.

Slinks around the pathways of your daydreams

until I am nothing

but an untouchable vision

of lamplight, of passion, of lust.

You see a pretty face, porcelain and sweet.

But do you see me?

Has any man

ever

truly

seen me?
