Call Me Shakespeare

Oh!

Has this truth been truly seen!

But a glimpse into a floating sea

of strange reality,

but a knowing truer than true can be!

Who is Shakespeare?

That terrible, desperate soul,

falling,

falling,

landing evermore in the stories

of aching romance and tragedy?

I am Shakespeare.

I am the writer.

I am the lover.

And so are you, love.

So are you,

lover of passionate life

and love.

Will You Love Me?

If I hold your hand still,

if I paint your world bright,

if I sing you my songs

will you love,

will you love me?

If I answer your needs

with a need of my own,

If I paint your world bright,

If I sing you my songs

will you love,

will you love me

love?

Beyond It All

I will always be here.

Feeling this depth of life,

remembering how much I have loved

and lost

and never regretted a moment.

Life has never attacked me,

though I’ve been broken by its force

many a time.

I try to remember:

on the other side of fear and pain,

there lives love.

Always, there lives love.

And my goodness.

I have loved.

Darling.

I have loved beyond it all.

Softness

I will whisper my softness to you every night.

I will whisper my softness.

To you.

Searching

It is the softest kiss

lingering within a dream.

A wish of the soul to be held.

Arms that lay bare.

Eyes on a wall.

It is quiet, it is searching

all around

for you,

my love,

for you.

And what if the day of you

arrives in my arms?

Will my soul shout

yes

I know it is you!

like it sweetly shouted

once before?

Will it be love, my love?

Will it be you?

Lavender

They used to meet in the meadow and gather lavender.

How sweet it was to raise their faces and breathe.

How sweet it was, just to be.

Side by side.

Alive.

Scarlet Dreams

Grip my body in darkness

and I will show you

your soul.

May the black of the air around us

swirl

with scarlet dreams

and indigo flight.

In The Arms Of A Dream

If I sit with you.

On the patio,

by the sunflowers.

If I find you

with my soft and steady gaze.

If I give you my heart,

if I whisper your name

will you hold me?

In the arms of a dream

will you hold me,

love?

Let Us Dance

Hold me with your eyes.

Feed my aching night,

lover sweet,

and I will be

your spin

and tumble

and roll

into the haze

of the forgotten day.

The air around me

soars

with the thrilling madness

of you.

Take me to the sky.

Dance

with me

tonight.

Those Eyes

There is a softness between us.

I gaze, but I do not see you first.

I feel you, first.

I know you,

first,

down to the bones that hold you.

I would ask for a kiss,

but I see it there

waiting

in your eyes.

Those eyes.

Bring me those eyes, one more time,

forever.

Bring me my medicine,

oh, sweet love!

What cruel, dark night

is this that finds me?
