Feathers

She fled her body, to where the poets fly.

Her heart lived in that place,

an angel by night light.

There were feathers on the wind of day,

and music, like a lovers kiss, drifting.

Oh, how she loved, there.

Oh, how she loved.

And how she missed that beautiful whisper

when down to earth

she fell.

A Gift

As if

to fall asleep in the arms of another

could be anything less than a gift

to be cherished.

Life and her beautiful pages;

how precious she is,

indeed,

for the sweetness of it.

Will You Love Me?

If I hold your hand still,

if I paint your world bright,

if I sing you my songs

will you love,

will you love me?

If I answer your needs

with a need of my own,

If I paint your world bright,

If I sing you my songs

will you love,

will you love me

love?

Love

It is a beautiful thing

to know love.

To feel it

burning,

aching,

glowing;

how I have known love

is as small as an hour born

of its grand, magnificent day.

I have loved in many ways.

Is there a garden I am yet to find?

A moment still to spring

upon the delicate plough of yesterday?

I am certain there is more to come.

I shall wait for it by the gate

where the red roses wither

and the daffodils wake

in sweet tufts

of two.

All The Lovely Things

If I were a forest,

there would be afternoon sun

slicing through my trees.

And little white rabbits

would hop along the way

between the daisies

and the rushing river

and I would know

this was the sweetest day.

If I were a forest,

I would be home.

For me.

And for all the lovely things.

Searching

It is the softest kiss

lingering within a dream.

A wish of the soul to be held.

Arms that lay bare.

Eyes on a wall.

It is quiet, it is searching

all around

for you,

my love,

for you.

And what if the day of you

arrives in my arms?

Will my soul shout

yes

I know it is you!

like it sweetly shouted

once before?

Will it be love, my love?

Will it be you?

Garden Of Memories

This bliss springs from gratefulness.

The sweet garden of memories

we planted within

my heart.

Scarlet Dreams

Grip my body in darkness

and I will show you

your soul.

May the black of the air around us

swirl

with scarlet dreams

and indigo flight.

Beautifully Us

Take me to the fire.

Dance with me

in the spaces between

the flames.

Burn with me, into

the quiet

of everything pure.

Everything.

Perfectly

beautifully

us.

Darling Day 20. This Night

Under dim lights of orange,

whisper to me

darling,

of the places your soft touch

will sail me to

this night.
